    Yoga with cats・猫とヨガ:

    Take this time to find the best way for you to move, slowly, carefully, amongst the friendly cats. They will come up to you for attention. They may sit on your lap. You can gently movement aside, or choose to not change legs in the pose ;)

    Gentle yet strengthening yoga to improve your balance, range of motion, body awareness and calm.

    The class is suitable for beginners, taught in English and Japanese, and adapted to the individual needs of everyone in the room.

    If you would like to move more comfortably but don’t think you can do yoga, then this class is perfect for you.

    一人ひとりに合わせて、初心者でも簡単にできるヨガ。体に優しくて、関節可動域やバランス、体の自覚、静けさ、柔軟力、筋肉の強さなどが向上する。

  • Gentle healing・優しく癒す

    Time with the cats・猫と一緒に過ごす時間

    Take the time to make yourself completely comfortable, as the cats come to say hello, or even sit with you and purr away.

    Scan through your body and let go of any tension. The cats will help - as will the laughs as they play around us.

    During meditiation, let yourself be as heavy as you can, allowing the stillness to restore you. One of the cats may come over to sleep or sit on you. Let their purrs and warmth heal you.

    Take this time for a mental reset, as you focus on your movements, and the kitty love you’ll be surrounded by.

    猫と一緒にゆっくり動くと体も心も癒す。日常的な急ぎのストレスから離れて、消化も免疫もきちんと働けるようになり、思考力や想像力、生産力なども向上する。

    浮かんでくる響きの中で、深く休んで、リセットができる。

  • Machiya Space

    Traditional space, friendly rescue cats・伝統的な空間でフレンドリーな保護猫達

    These beautiful babies are looking for their forever homes. But while they are in the care of Japan Cat Network, they are living their best lives with lots of toys, occasional visits from people like us, and with volunteers caring for them every day.

    The cats are excited to see us because this cafe only takes private bookings, so the cats are not constantly overwhelmed with people wanting to touch them. They have been known to curl up on us when we lie down for poses <3

    So come a little early for photos and avoid sitting down before class starts ;)

  • Intimate setting: maximum 6 participants 6人定員

About your facilitator

Sam is a yoga & meditation instructor from Brisbane, Australia. With a background in Sports Science she is in her 10th year of teaching personalised yoga to groups and individuals. With 10 years of supporting her local animal rescue in Australia, Sam was excited to be able to volunteer and work with Japan Cat Rescue and Maneki Machiya to help the cats of Kyoto.

Her focus is helping you move more safely through the world, by helping you improve your balance, range of motion, flexibility, strength and body awareness. To help you find ‘your own yoga’ that works best for your body on any given day. 

"My goal is help you find ‘your yoga’ and your voice, to keep yourself moving safely, and able to voice your concerns, both on the mat and in daily life."

Cancellation Terms and Conditions

In the case of refunds being provided, any fees involved in payments and refunding payments will be paid by the client.

  • From Payment until 30days before the event, cancellation fees are 0%

  • Until 7 days beforehand, cancellation fees are 50%

  • Until 24hours before the event, cancellation fees are 80%

  • Cancellation within 24 hours or on the day of the event, or no shows、 will incur a 100% cancellation charge

In the case of typhoon, or other natural disaster, that leads to a national or local area stay at home order and therefore cancellation of the event, all funds will be returned minus any fees incurred in the payment of, or required to return those funds.

  • 7日前まではキャンセル費＝50％

    24時間前までキャンセル費＝80％

  • 24時間前から、イベントの当日も、キャンセルやノーショーの場合、キャンセル費＝100％

振り込みで払う方：ここでメールで連絡して下さい。お申込み受付連絡メール後1週間内にご入金がない場合には、自動的にキャンセルとなります。

台風などの自然災害の恐れなどで指示が国および地方の政府より発令された場合には、上記キャンセル規約とはことなり、全額返金とさせていただきます。ただし振り込み手数料は差し引かせていただきます。
